Augusto Ramos, CEO of Sismotur, has been invited to present in the second edition of this report, the experience of Sismotur in the deployment of the concept of smart signage as a means of communication between the Destination and the digital tourist. With the title: Connected to the reality of smart signs, Augusto Ramos highlights the importance of conceiving smart signage as “a connection to reality with digital contents”.
The municipality of Santiago del Teide has become the first Tourist Destination to integrate Dielmo 3D’s high-definition viewpoint technology and virtual tours into the Inventrip platform. This strengthens the collaboration between Sismotur and Dielmo 3D to improve the promotion of tourism destinations by adding quality digital content and the global platform Inventrip.
Within the CTN178 smart cities committee, Sismotur has co-drafted with Globaldit the future norm UNE PNE 178503 “Smart Tourist Destinations: Semantics applied to tourism”, contributing its expertise of 20 years modelling more than 20.000 tourist resources and the experience acquired managing the Tourism Group in schema.org. This norm has been published for consultation in the Spanish official bulletin and its final approval is expected before end 2019.
Sismotur was invited to the first blockchain national congress of Turkey, organized by the Turkish Government in Ankara. The CTO of Sismotur, Felipe Santi, presented the potential of IoT and Blockchain on the Tourism industry and organized with our collaborator Enrique Melero a hands-on workshop for 40 engineers: an electronic hotel door lock receiving Bitcoin payments from a smartphone wallet.
