Sismotur was invited to the launching day of this project of the PDR 2020 of Portugal, which has as partners the associations ADREPES, ADER-AL, APRODER and ADL. Augusto Ramos, CEO of Sismotur, presented the possibilities of the Inventrip platform to digitise the enotourism offer of the 17 municipalities of the project, as well as to connect the different territories of the associations.
Today, Sismotur, together with different public and private entities from Portugal, Spain, France, Italy and Greece, has signed its adhesion as a founding partner of the European association iREA. During the day, Augusto Ramos, CEO of Sismotur, accompanied by the Directors of Sismotur in France and Portugal, Felipe Santi and Jorge Albardeiro, presented Sismotur’s technological contribution to the growth of rural development through digital tourism Finally, at the constitutive session of the association’s governance bodies, Augusto Ramos was appointed Secretary General of the Strategic Committee.
Augusto Ramos, CEO of Sismotur, was invited to participate in the board of the European Network of Wine Cities and was able to share with the attendees the promotion of digital wine tourism in numerous wine municipalities of the AMPV and ACEVIN with the Inventrip platform. He also shared during the day the possibilities of collaboration between RECEVIN and iREA, an association for the promotion of the rural world of which Sismotur is a founding member.
The CEO of Sismotur, Augusto Ramos, and the Director of Sismotur Portugal, Jorge Albardeiro, had the opportunity to present to the Minister the initiative of the Inventrip global platform for tourist information on the Iberian Peninsula, which has more than 40,000 resources and 100 connected destinations.
Augusto Ramos, CEO of Sismotur, accompanied by Jorge Albardeiro, Director of Sismotur Portugal and by the Secretary General of the Association of Portuguese Wine Municipalities, Mr. José Arruda, had the opportunity to present to the Brazilian delegation, led by the President of Embratur, Mr. Carlos Brito, the success story of the global platform Inventrip in Spain and Portugal. During the meeting, the possibility of defining a pilot destination in Brazil to develop the concept of smart tourism signage connected to Inventrip was raised.
The Association of Portuguese Wine Municipalities is the chosen venue for the IV Inventrip Conference. Nuno Russo, councillor of the city council of Santarém (Portugal) opened this new meeting of Inventrip Destinations. Diputación de Badajoz, Santiago del Teide, Lago Alqueva and AMPV presented to the other participants the innovations carried out in their Destinations.
During the 5th World Congress on Wine Tourism, held in Reguengos de Monsaraz, the Secretary-General of the UNWTO, Mr. Zurab Pololikashvili, and the Portuguese Secretary of State for Tourism, Ms. Rita Marques, got to know the smart tourism signage connected to the Inventrip platform of this Alentejo municipality. The Mayor of Reguengos de Monsaraz, Mr. José Calixto and the CEO of Sismotur, Augusto Ramos, present this new communication channel with the digital tourist.
Sismotur was invited to the first blockchain national congress of Turkey, organized by the Turkish Government in Ankara. The CTO of Sismotur, Felipe Santi, presented the potential of IoT and Blockchain on the Tourism industry and organized with our collaborator Enrique Melero a hands-on workshop for 40 engineers: an electronic hotel door lock receiving Bitcoin payments from a smartphone wallet.
