During the agricultural and horse fair, Santiagro 2022, the mayor of Santiago de Cacém, Mr. Álvaro Beijinha, presented the new commitment to the digital promotion of tourism in this municipality of the Alentejo Litoral with the implementation of the Inventrip platform. The project has included the digitalisation of all its tourist resources and the inclusion of more than 250 tourist establishments.

Sismotur was invited to the launching day of this project of the PDR 2020 of Portugal, which has as partners the associations ADREPES, ADER-AL, APRODER and ADL. Augusto Ramos, CEO of Sismotur, presented the possibilities of the Inventrip platform to digitise the enotourism offer of the 17 municipalities of the project, as well as to connect the different territories of the associations.

Augusto Ramos, CEO of Sismotur, has been invited to present in the second edition of this report, the experience of Sismotur in the deployment of the concept of smart signage as a means of communication between the Destination and the digital tourist. With the title: Connected to the reality of smart signs, Augusto Ramos highlights the importance of conceiving smart signage as “a connection to reality with digital contents”.

Today, Sismotur, together with different public and private entities from Portugal, Spain, France, Italy and Greece, has signed its adhesion as a founding partner of the European association iREA. During the day, Augusto Ramos, CEO of Sismotur, accompanied by the Directors of Sismotur in France and Portugal, Felipe Santi and Jorge Albardeiro, presented Sismotur’s technological contribution to the growth of rural development through digital tourism Finally, at the constitutive session of the association’s governance bodies, Augusto Ramos was appointed Secretary General of the Strategic Committee.

The Birds of Carraixet project has 20 watching areas in the region that are shared through an online trip Inventrip. In addition, Manuel Mariscal, COO of Sismotur, presented the intelligent signage plan that allows to receive contextualised information of each of the 20 points through Beacon technology and Virtual Geofences.

Sismotur’s directors of Business Development and Sales, Josep Antoni Tamarit and Pedro Jiménez, accompanied the president of La Safor at the presentation of the new initiative to promote tourism in the Mancomunidad. Also present was the COO of Sismotur, Manuel Mariscal, who presented the intelligent tourist information and signage plan drawn up for the 31 municipalities in the region.

Augusto Ramos, CEO of Sismotur, was invited to participate in the board of the European Network of Wine Cities and was able to share with the attendees the promotion of digital wine tourism in numerous wine municipalities of the AMPV and ACEVIN with the Inventrip platform. He also shared during the day the possibilities of collaboration between RECEVIN and iREA, an association for the promotion of the rural world of which Sismotur is a founding member.

Jorge Albardeiro, Director of Sismotur Portugal, presented the new innovations of the Inventrip platform at the Lisbon Tourism Fair. Also, together with the CEO of Sismotur, Augusto Ramos and the Secretary General of AMPV, José Arruda, presented the progress of wine tourism digitisation in Portugal, which already has more than 25 municipalities connected to Inventrip.
